Tanzania Boosts Maranje Industrial Park Project to Stabilize Cashew Industry

The Tanzanian government has directed the country’s cashew industry to focus on completing the project to transform the 1,572-acre Maranje Industrial Park into a cashew processing area. This project is expected to address the erratic changes in the global cashew market and help the domestic cashew industry become less dependent on foreign markets.

According to IPP Media, the Maranje Industrial Park sets an output target of up to 1 million tons by 2030. Additionally, the government will simultaneously build factories to produce cashew products such as oil, juice, wine, and more. Experts predict that this industrial park will house more than 30 factories, creating at least 35,000 jobs for local people.
