According to statistics from the General Department of Vietnam Customs, in 2024, Vietnamese enterprises spent approximately $1.07 billion to import nearly 820,000 tons of raw cashew nuts from Cambodia. This represents a 33.5% increase in volume and a 27.4% increase in value compared to 2023. These figures highlight Vietnam’s growing dependence on Cambodia’s raw cashew supply.

Cambodian cashews accounted for 33.2% of Vietnam’s total raw cashew import value in 2024, making Cambodia the country’s largest supplier of raw cashews.

This marks a 12.4% increase in volume and a 19.2% increase in value compared to 2023 – the highest record ever since Vietnam entered the global cashew market.
